Hypnotherapy can work wonders for youIf hypnotism could be bottled it would be the most powerful drug in the world.
More scientific evidence exists to back hypnotherapy than almost any other complementary therapy says the Health Education Authority guide to Complementary Medicine and Therapies.
If you feel you have something inside you which plays havoc with your life but which is out of your control then we can almost certainly help you.
Hypnotherapy allows you to release suppressed and repressed feelings and emotions so that you move on.
With our help you can free yourself from old injuries, resolve conflicts and remove patterns of behaviour that hold you back from being happy and fulfilled in your life.
As a result you will be able to emerge from your sessions a free responding, emotionally stable and powerful individual who can take control of your life.
"There are a lot of myths about hypnotherapy. But it is just a deep state of relaxation. In fact, hypnosis is the most natural self healing gift to changing old or unwanted behaviour patterns and creating new positive habits." - Nick
You already know what hypnosis feels like because you experience many natural hypnotic states every day of your life. This happens when you day dream, drive, read a book or watch television. These are the pleasant dreamlike states when you drift off…
During a session we will set new ideas in your mind to help you with issues you want to address.
How does it work? Hypnotherapy induces this safe and pleasant state of deep relaxation so the unconscious mind is open to new suggestions and programmes that can benefit it…
Directly communicating with your unconscious mind, we can issue new suggestions or instructions. These are, of course, tailor made for your individual needs.
So how does it help The unconscious mind is the part of your mind that is the most powerful, containing infinite wisdom and a very deep level of intelligence.
It is your untapped resource for creativity and imagination. Your unconscious mind is also the seat of all your emotions and, therefore, directs nearly all of your behaviour.
All your memories and life experiences are contained within the memory bank of your unconscious mind.
Hypnosis is a safe way of issuing new instructions to your unconscious mind and weeding out limiting beliefs which enabes you to create apparently miraculous changes in your beliefs and body.
Once you can successfully communicate with your unconscious mind you will begin to realise that all the answers are there within yourself.
Hypnosis - the natural way to heal yourself Hypnosis is considered the most natural self healing gift known to mankind.
I can help you changed old or unwanted behaviour patterns and create new and positive habits.
Believe it or not, everyone goes into hypnosis naturally every day of their lives. It is just a day dreaming state.
I prefer to call it a focussed state of concentration when all external sounds and other stimuli fade out.
For example, when we watch television or sit in the cinema we suspend belief in the outside world and concentrate on what is happening on the screen.
Many people have used the day dream state of hypnosis to bring about change.
Einstein imagined what riding on a beam of light would be like and from this day dream he came up with the theory of relativity.
And Lily Tomlin is said to have written the screenplay for " The Incredible Shrinking Woman" while in an hypnotic trance.
On the other hand, Jackie Kennedy-Onassis used hypnotherapy to relive and let go of some tragic events in her life. As did Kevin Costner fly his personal hypnotist to Hawaii to cure his seasickness during the film of Waterworld.
James Braid was the Scottish doctor who first used the word hypnosis. He described it as an altered state of consciousness where the client or patient is deeply relaxed, and yet at the same time fully alert.
And it is perfectly safe
As psychologist and hypnosis expert Rafael Rhodes says: " Hypnotism is absolutely safe. There is no known case on record of harmful results from its therapeutic use."
Compare this to the side effects and other problems that can be caused by drug treatments.
While consciousness is entirely suspended in natural sleep, it is most definitely present in hypnosis. You are aware of everything that is going on around them.
Any hypnosis is really self hypnosis because it has to be a state of co-operation. No one can be hypnotised unless they actively wish to enter the state known as hypnosis.
As a hypnotherapist, I am acting as a catalyst or facilitator to help you to help yourself.
